Do you live in Israel? How about a tour in honor of a special occasion, or as something great to do during school vacations?

 

Tour #1: Unique Shield of Jerusalem Tour

 

The tour begins with a drive to Jewish neighbourhoods outside the Old City such as Abu Tor, Kings Garden, Yemenite Village of Shiloach, Maaleh HaZeitim and Kidmat Zion (Near the Jerusalem security fence). These are some of the most inspiring Jewish communities in Israel today. Make sure to bring your camera! You will see awesome views of Jerusalem from these off the beaten path locations.

 

This is followed by a walking tour of the Kotel Quarter (known today as the Moslem Quarter). Enter the Flowers gate, and see how Jewish life has been revitalized in this area of the Old City. You will be amazed by visits to Ateret Cohanim's exciting communities and projects.

 

Tour leaves from the Great Synagogue or other nearby location depending on the size of the group and group leader. 

 

 

Tour #2: Shield of Jerusalem Walking Tour

 

Walk through the Armenian and Kotel Quarter (known today as the Moslem Quarter), and see how Jewish life has been renewed in these areas of the Old City by Ateret Cohanim. Walk up to Old City rooftops, and see some of the best views of the Old City, the new city, and Har HaZeitim! This tour will give you a deeper understanding of Jerusalem than you ever had before. Tour meets at Jaffa Gate.

Adults (12 +): 100 Shekels

Children  6-12 yrs. old: 50 Shekels

Children under 6 free

Length of tour:  approx 3 1/2 hours 

Ask about option to visit Tzedkiyahu's Cave (Entrance fees not included).

What to bring? Hats, water, and good walking shoes

Shield of Jerusalem Tours are open to the public unless specific arrangements are made for a private Shield of Jerusalem tour.
